About Cactus Canine

Hello, my name is Amy and I love animals, always have always will.  Several years ago I shared my home with two Siberian Huskies and a Border Collie.  My first Sibe was named Kiwi and she was spit fire of a dog.  At age six she was diagnosed with canine diabetes and by age eleven she was undergoing surgery for breast cancer.  We were told she probably had six months to live, but the spitfire she was she lived another three years.  Once it became clear she was going to cross the rainbow bridge I hired a random photographer to take some family portraits for me so I would have some nice quality images of her.  I called a ‘photographer’ and told her I wanted a canvas of my best friend….well I was less than thrilled and quickly realized not all photographers could capture the spirit and unique personalities of animals.  I eventually found a well rounded photographer who could work with animals and who took he time to work with Kiwi to capture the perfect image for me to create that canvas I so wanted.  That image still hangs in my home today, quality and professionalism lasts a lifetime in photography.  Kiwi passed away before the canvas was completed but my experience had a lasting and profound change on where my life would go.  Today I share my home with three Border Collies and three horses!  I have spent years working on expanding my technical and creative photography skills so you will not need to go through what I did to achieve your dream of having your beloved pet as fine art for your home!

Cactus Canine has developed out of my desire for quality and innovative pet products.  As a pet photographer I have found unique and top quality products for my clientele.  Through working with pet owners in my own business it became clear that a common thread between all pet owners was keeping up with new products and where to find these new products.  The Phoenix metro area is huge and there is no way to know all the latest and greatest places to find that perfect dog sweater or latest organic treat without some help.  So, here I start my journey to find all the greatest pet suppliers in the valley and maybe a few around the rest of the state.  If you know a place that you find fulfills all your pets needs, fill out the comment form so I can share it with others!
